Pink Salt Spray

Being a California native, LOVE how the salt air made my hair feel like effortless waves when it blew in the wind and made the strands blow into light waves.

Now living in Texas, I get that same wind, but the hair ends up smelling like dirt instead of beachy waves. Not as sexy honestly. Researching another subject for a post, read up on this salt spray for our hairs, and how it takes like 4 ingredients to make. It's not gonna hold your hair like Fort Knox on lockdown, but it's sooooo much cleaner and still gives the wavy texture and movement, without the stiffboard mess.

What's Needed:
  • A funnel (you can get one from the Dollar Store)
  • Filtered Water
Links above are in bold

Take your funnel and place in your spray bottle, then add your pink salts, and 6 drops of two scents of essential oils (or 12 drops of 1 scent).

Add your 1/2 cup aloe vera juice followed by 1.5 cups filtered water. I read to keep the proportions 1 part aloe to 3 parts water, then use whatever you need to fill your vessel.

Aloe vera is important as it keeps our strands moisturized and the oils add scent to your recipe.

Shake the spray before each use to help the salt dissolve and get the contents to marry a bit after sitting when your done using it.

Note, the pink salt with start to fully dissolve after a few weeks, but the spray will stay pink.

Just a fun recipe for our summer hair, that doesn't have all those nasty chemicals from who knows what country.
